BookTracker is developed by Lynn E. ("I," "me," or "my"). This Privacy Policy explains what information BookTracker collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies only to the BookTracker mobile app and not to any third-party websites or services that may be linked from it.

What BookTracker Stores

BookTracker is designed to keep your data on your own device. When you use the app, it stores the following information locally, on your device only:

• Book entries you create: title, author, date started, date finished, star rating, and any notes you write

• Books you've added to your "To Read" list: title and author

• A short book description automatically retrieved for each finished book (see "Book Description Lookup" below)

I do not collect, receive, or have access to this information. It is not transmitted to me, stored on any server I control, or shared with any third party for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

No Account Required

BookTracker does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the app.

Book Description Lookup

When you log a finished book, BookTracker sends the title and author you entered to the Google Books API to retrieve a short description of the book. This is the only information sent off your device, and it is sent solely to look up book details — it is not linked to your identity, your device, or any other data. This request is subject to Google's own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

No Advertising or Analytics

BookTracker does not include advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or any other third-party tracking technology. It does not track your activity within the app, build an advertising profile, or share data with data brokers or ad networks.

No Cloud Sync or Backup

BookTracker does not sync or back up your data to iCloud, a personal account, or any server. If your device backs itself up (for example, through Apple's standard iOS device backup), your BookTracker data may be included in that backup as part of your device's normal backup process — that backup is controlled by Apple and by you, not by me.

Your Control Over Your Data

Because everything is stored on your device:

• You can edit or delete any book entry or "To Read" entry at any time within the app.

• Deleting the app from your device permanently deletes all BookTracker data stored on it, since no copy exists anywhere else.

Children's Privacy

BookTracker does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects no personal information and requires no account, it does not knowingly gather data from children under 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your region).

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if BookTracker's features change in a way that affects your data. If I make material changes, I'll update the "Last Updated" date below. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
